Shooting Party

Stunning New Digital Restoration.

Features: DVD

In October 1913, a group of aristocratic men and women gather for a shooting party at an estate in the heart of the English countryside. Assured and opulent, they move through the elaborate rituals of an Edwardian country house party. But times are changing. The values that have ordered their glittering world will no longer have any meaning in the new age about to dawn.

"A well-acted screen adaptation..."  Frederic & Mary Ann Brussat, Spirituality & Practice

Editor's Note

Set during the end of the Edwardian Era, "The Shooting Party" is the spellbinding story of a group of aristocrats who are completely blind to the fact that a new age has dawned.

Plot Summary

Adapted from Isabel Colegate's 1980 novel about how a weekend shoot at the country estate of Sir Randolph Nettleby in 1913, just prior to England's entry into World War I, exposes the fading hypocritical attitudes of the British aristocracy.
